QotD: Hard to Say I’m Sorry

Is there anything you've done that you wish you'd apologized for, but didn't?

Eleven years ago, I missed a flight from NY to PA.  Because I missed that flight, my brother drove out to get me.  Because he drove out to get me, we both were not home when my father passed.

I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye, Dad.

  1. And I for yours. Try to stay strong and know that he's at peace.
I won't tell you anything cliche like time heals all wounds because, well, it doesn't. But you have to just try to keep going because no matter what may have happened when he was here, it's what he would have wanted.
    I'm sorry.

  2. A) Deja vu just smacked me in the head.
    B) Maybe in that way that we knew he was going but wasn't actually gone. I called him for Father's Day and he didn't even know who I was.

Say What?
