The 2008 recap

Well, goldie and Kevin Wolf did it, so I thought I would too.

Go back through the past year's entries and show us the first line of the first (public) post in each month. Now you have a twelve-sentence snapshot of what you thought was worth blogging about in 2008.

JanuaryA new year means just that, a new year.

February – Good morning world, good morning February, good morning Voxaholics!

March – It's been quite the interesting day so far.

April – It's day two and we have no luggage yet.

May – First and foremost, get your sway on!

June - Rest in peace.

July – The last few days have been, well, somewhat ridiculous.

August – 1961 – Six Flags opens their first park ever.

September – So yeah, occasionally I have aches or pains or what have you, but I'm still only 34 until December.

October – Where did Napoleon keep his armies?

November – So, late in the game I've decided to try to spit out a post a day for 30 days.

December – Well, kids, if you can believe it, there are only 30 days left in this year.

This exercise had made me realize that I am so freaking RANDOM!!  It's good to be me.

Things on Tuesday – My birthday edition

A lot of ladies stop celebrating at 29.  This is the year I quit celebrating until I stop regularly getting asked for ID. 😀

The Shiznit

  • Birthday wishes from all over the country.  I love my friends and miss them so much!
  • Coupons for Borders (my favorite bookstore) and a great big gift card to the same.
  • Figuring out a date (finally!)
  • Coupons for Victoria's Secret
  • Coupons for Macys
  • A quite possible but really not affordable shopping spree
  • Family
  • I AM EDUMACATED!!  Associate's degree complete in 5 days!!

Just SHIT

  • Lovey had to travel today for work.  He's pretty bummed…of all the days.
  • Having to come to work today (even though I'm thankful to have a place to go to work)
  • Really?  Stop coughing!  Or go home.  You're so gross.
  • Brrrrrr.  Cold in here.

Meh, that's all I've got.  Have a great day everyone!!

Life bits

Tids and bits about stuff that goes on.

  • Sunday at breakfast, we were being treated to the best of Sirius Love, crappiest love songs ever.  I Don't Know Much by the legendary Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt came on.  Of course, Kiddo knows nothing of this song.  Crap, a couple of you might not either.  Anyway, I was doing the second verse during the first (Linda's part) and Kiddo couldn't figure out why I was doing it.  Until, of course, the second verse rolled around and she nearly shot cafe con leche out her nose.
  • Oooh, Cirque was awesome on Saturday.  That deserves its own post later.  Ewww, saw a scary dude from work during intermission.  Blecch.
  • Went to the reptile shop on Sunday to get some food for the snake.  There was the cutest little girl in there, walking around holding a pinkie (super baby rat).  And she kept saying that she wanted to give it to Noodle.  Took a second for me to figure out that Noodle was one of the snakes.  Most awesome name for a pet snake ever!
  • Man we had some fantastic sushi on Saturday night.  And egg rolls.  And pad thai.  And thai donuts.  OMG delicious.

Oh, and it's 99% official now.  5/22/10 is the day we take over Vegas. 🙂
