It’s beginning to look a lot like…

<insert whatever you want here>

I suppose I'm a scrooge.  I really haven't been "into" Christmas for many years now.  I think it stopped being interesting and/or fun about 20 years ago.  Every once in a while, though, when I go into "the Christmas room" (where the tree is..all decorations are in one room) and I smell the tree, I get a little nostalgic, then I go into another room and it's over.

But that's not why I started this post.

My horoscope is DEAD ON today!

If work is beginning to feel more like a burden than a joy, it may be time to rethink your job, MiamiShyner. Your personality is such that you need lots of room to stretch and grow. If, instead, you feel stifled and stuck, then you know it is time to find a new professional challenge. You are fortunate that your skill set is such to afford you many opportunities. This time, choose more carefully!

Let's break this down:

If work is beginning to feel more like a burden than a joy, it may be time to rethink your job, MiamiShyner.

BEGINNING TO?!?!

Your personality is such that you need lots of room to stretch and grow.

Stretch and grow…circus!  Okay, crappy joke, but seriously, I'm in a very small box and that bitch is nailed shut.

You are fortunate that your skill set is such to afford you many opportunities.

I don't think that I actually have a skill set.  That is depressing.  I'm what you call a jack-of-all-trades, master of none.  You'd think I could pick something and get good at it.  Maybe one day.

Anywho, there are 45 days left until vacation and that's better than Christmas any day.  Have a holly, jolly Tuesday.

Christmas Trees

We've got a Douglas Fir.  I am leaning towards when I was growing up, we had some sort of Spruce?  I can't quite figure it out.  But I know it wasn't a Douglas Fir.  Sure, the tree looks okay, but until my mom decides to hand down the decorations (complete with bubble lights and the annoying chirping bird), I won't ever feel like my tree is complete.

Tough to get spray snow down here, at least in the places I looked.  I refuse to go all the way to Target or Wal-Mart for it, so I'll just make do without it.

Huh, forgot that you can't see the little village that Kiddo set up under the tree.  Maybe I'll shoot it again later.

Happy Sunday.  It's time for…..

STEELERS FOOTBALL!!

Proctor and Gamble are watching

And at least they're polite about it. They send "random" coupon packages. Coupons for things like dish and laundry detergent. Yay!

And Swiffers….Kiddo will be thrilled!

And Pantene. Because that's the shampoo I've bought the last three times.

And Clairol hair coloring. Like the one that's sitting on my shelf.

And those yummy pretzel sticks I like.

And a big bottle of Pepto that I eat/drink like candy.

And ooh, a new flavor of Metamucil because I'm almost out of my orange.

12 coupons. 9 directly related to things I would buy. I don't fill out surveys.

I'm going to bed,PG. Please turn off your lights.

The 2008 recap

Well, goldie and Kevin Wolf did it, so I thought I would too.

Go back through the past year's entries and show us the first line of the first (public) post in each month. Now you have a twelve-sentence snapshot of what you thought was worth blogging about in 2008.

JanuaryA new year means just that, a new year.

February – Good morning world, good morning February, good morning Voxaholics!

March – It's been quite the interesting day so far.

April – It's day two and we have no luggage yet.

May – First and foremost, get your sway on!

June - Rest in peace.

July – The last few days have been, well, somewhat ridiculous.

August – 1961 – Six Flags opens their first park ever.

September – So yeah, occasionally I have aches or pains or what have you, but I'm still only 34 until December.

October – Where did Napoleon keep his armies?

November – So, late in the game I've decided to try to spit out a post a day for 30 days.

December – Well, kids, if you can believe it, there are only 30 days left in this year.

This exercise had made me realize that I am so freaking RANDOM!!  It's good to be me.
