12/30 – It’s alive!

No work for me today.  I had to take the ROCO mobile in for a little more lovin and take the girls in for a followup.

I am one lucky beeotch.  Distance between mechanic and doctor = 1.5 blocks.  So I dropped off the car and walked down to the doctor.

Saw my incisions for the first time today.  Not too bad.  Didn't know that the internal sutures would have each end sticking out of me.  I looked like Frankenstein.

Quick and painless appointment.  Hahaha, I have a package of 10 massages which means someone else rubs 'em.

As I was going to get in the elevator after my appointment, my phone rang.  MECHANIC!  Hey, your car's done.  Does it get any better than that?

Life is good.

11&12/30 – A turd of the way

Yep, I missed posting yesterday, but I suppose I'll finish out the month regardless.  Nothing happened yesterday of interest.  Ah well.

It isn't as though anything happened today either, but to let two days go by is,well, lazy on my part.

I think I will win the lottery tonight.  Shhh, don't be so negative.

Oh, seen on the street today:

I found a couple of articles on what this is about.  I haven't read it myself, so I can't enlighten you yet.

No work tomorrow for me.  I have to take the ROCO mobile in for yet more work.  She's going to be new from the inside pretty soon.  Fortunately I don't have to deal with rust problems down here.  Maybe when we move she'll make a good first car for someone's kid that isn't a spoiled brat.

I'll check you good folks out later.

10/30 – A couple of things

Please know that I am not happy that ANYONE is losing their job, ever.  And that my happiness regarding the next sentence stems from this.

DHL is basically ending its US service.  But seriously, their service has been so bad, from my experience, this is really not a surprise.

Here's another little nugget.  You should exercise and get lots of calcium, especially if you are a woman.  MommaShyner just found out that she has osteopenia.  Nothing on too serious of a level, she just needs to exercise and get more calcium, which SHE BETTER!  I know you read this, Mom!

And since I know you're reading this, I am going to share this because I thought it was funny in a downer sort of situation.  MommaShyner said that she didn't think that this was something that really affected "us".  You know, like Black folks "us".  Um, we've still got bones and we're still female, so that's more or less who these sorts of conditions target.

It's not like we're white and she found out she had sickle cell, because then she could say "Damn, I didn't think that sort of thing really affected "us"!"  I love my MommaShyner.

In case you're wondering, the girls are coming along nicely.  Although the range of motion I have at home is considerably diminshed when I'm at work because it's colder than the proverbial witch's tit in our freaking office!  Today, I couldn't even use a pencil because my hands were so cold.  I think I may just take my Steelers fleece into the office tomorrow to stay warm.  Or I'll really piss them off and get one of these.  That's right.  A slanket.

That's probably enough links for today.  Peace out till tomorrow ya'll!

9/30 – It’s Sunday already?

I guess the weekend goes by pretty quickly when you spend most of it sleeping.

Ugh, yes, Ugh, Steelers.  I'm sure that I do not need to remind you guys of all people how important it was to win that game to stay ahead of Baltimore.  Jerks.

I have had a headache for approximately 2 days now.  It really sucks.  I think it's leaning towards mini-migraine and concentrating itself in the left rear quadrant of my noggin.  I bet if I had a chiropractor this would get fixed in mere moments.

Sorry, but this is all I have for today.  My eyes are rebelling against me.

Nighty night.
