Wait For It….

Hammer! Hammer! (curls)  Hammer! Hammer! (Curls. They hurt like shit!)

Yep, it took till 9 to post that.

Come on, summer!

Summa, summa, summatime!!

Ok, so we’re not there just yet, but we are certainly getting close. It’s almost 70 degrees here today with the forecast only looking better as the week goes on. No, I haven’t put away all the winter stuff yet. We have one more trip to the mountains before that. Finish up the season strong. My brother already called it since he’s ready to move on to his summer activities. I, on the other hand, am hanging on.

I love all of these seasons, but it is these months, these warm and sunny months, that are the reason that, when I was looking, I wouldn’t put any vehicle on my list of possibilities that didn’t have a sunroof. For me, there is nothing quite like a sunny day, windows down, sunroof open, adjust the bass and let the Alpine blast (although I don’t think that’s what’s in the car). No matter. I’m driving by with my booming system.

If it weren’t for snowboarding, the winter would really suck. All those months just thinking about I can’t wait to go to a baseball game/ride my bike/go fly/lay in my hammock. Although, with the winters being fairly mild here, I can do some of those things in the “off-season” but it isn’t the same. I know you know what I mean. It’s like Kennywood on a cold and rainy day. You could go on the Log Jammer or the Pittsburgh Plunge, but it isn’t the same! See? Now you know what I’m talking about.

Apparently, this year, warm weather for me is also going to mean it’s time to train. It’s amusing to me that I could put together a showcase routine in a week or so, but I fully plan on spending nearly 2 months on this preliminary routine. Music, music, music. I’m having quite a time picking something that speaks to me and I feel that I will be able to make speak to the audience through my performance. Who knew it would be so tough?

All of a sudden, it’s time for Zumba. We’re working on getting through that week! Woot!

Starting Fresh Every Week

It’s a new day, it’s a new week, it’s a fresh workout, it’s Monday.

Vag check. I like Mikey Bubbles. Vagina in possession? Check.

You know, every time I start hitting the weights again, I forget about the last time I hit the weights again. Yes, I feel good and I look pretty decent, but I also hulk outta my clothes. It’s like my arms and torso both get longer while my arms, shoulders, ass, and quads get bigger. I noticed that my snowboard jacket was a little short. Then getting dressed this morning, my blazer has short arms and doesn’t extend as far down as it used to. It’s like fat guy in a little jacket except I’m neither fat nor a dude.

Sometimes, I may act like a dude. Sometimes, I may be gross like a dude. Not like someone who shall remain unnamed that has been sick for like 1.5 months and hawks loogies at his desk. But like walking through the parking lot and failing to see if anyone else is around before I fart. Oops. I almost laughed out loud when I noticed that someone was behind me. Yes, girls fart too.

On a totally different topic, it’s almost time to buy a new bikini. I’m having one hell of a time finding something that I like. Of course, I would like something in black and yellow, however I’m not finding anything that I like in the color scheme. If you see something cute, please send me a message. I figure I have about six weeks to make this decision to allow for shipping and all that.

And on another totally different topic, it’s almost time (or probably past time) to start thinking about my entry routine. While I know that I work best under pressure, I guess I’m going to have to plan better than I would for a showcase although, in my head, that’s how I’m looking at it. A showcase in which I want to polish my routine a little better than I would usually. Ok, a lot better. My pre-song is selected and luckily I have a while to determine what the show song will be, if I will be performing. Hopefully, I’ll love it when a plan comes together. And if said plan comes together, I hope that the couple of local folks reading this will come out and cheer me on. J It’ll be my first and last VERY public pole performance.

It’s a busy week and they only get busier as the year goes by. I fear for my body when I get to the point of after work activities on nearly a daily basis. Or I fear for my relationship. Thank goodness that guy loves me because I like to be way too active in stuff. Just working on the balance where we do stuff together too. Guns, fish, and bicycles baby!

That’s probably just about enough chatter out of me for the day. I hope your Monday has been a little less painful than the last. Hasta manana.

Getting Blown Off I-70

This morning, we tried out going second shift up to the mountains. Instead of getting up at 5 and getting on the road by 7, we got up at 7 and got on the road by 9. Traffic? Nope. Perfect. Even with an event up there today, there was a wonderful amount of free space for riding. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

As we were cruising up 70, at a slightly breaking the speed limit 72 in a 65, a car passed us like we were standing still. They had to be doing 90 easy. Within a few minutes of being passed, we start seeing cars pulled over. One on our side, another on our side, one going the other way, another on our side. And then we pass a JeffCo sheriff. He was in the median. When we passed him, he was getting back in his truck. He pulled out and threw the lights on and I was concerned that he came out for me. Hahaha, nope. Those folks doing 90? He got them probably a mile and a half to two miles down the road. I mean, far enough that they probably thought they were in the clear. That’s gonna be a pricey ticket. Too bad for them.

Did some more racing. I’m somehow getting slower. The guy on the course said it’s because the snow’s getting slow. I’ll take that.

I’ll also take a couple aspirin and my bed because snowboarding after legs day equals good night.
