Girl, Look At That Friday – Journey #5

Alright alright alright. Friday is in the house. You know who else shows up on Fridays? That’s right, the Reverend SteelerShyner. The Rev is in the house and looking forward to hearing the congregation in full throat. We do a call and response. I say “And the congregation said ROCO” and you say “ROCO!” Pretty easy, right? Let’s warm it up. It’s Friday, and we ain’t got shit to do. And the congregation said ROCO. You may also JOCO if you are more comfortable with that. I’m all for picking your chosen genitalia.

And now, my good people, my lovely congregation, let’s get on with it. Today’s soundtrack is heavily BBD based. Never trust a big butt and a smile, and the congregation said ROCO. If you are not running your day with a soundtrack, you’re definitely missing out. Music will make all tasks that you might not necessarily want to complete get done that much faster. I mean, work goes way faster when I’m doing glute isolations in my chair as I type, lol. Go ahead, try it.

TL/DR: Cool shit happens when you join a BOD group. The Fit Inn is waiting for you.

On to the journey. As previously mentioned, I’ve been doing Beachbody workouts since 2009. I’ve been subscribed to BeachbodyOnDemand (BOD) since 2017. Huh. That’s a long time. Anywho, when you sign up for BOD, you get a coach. I really never paid any attention to that part of it; I just went in and did my workout and that was it. Fast forward four years and I see that my pole idol is now doing Beachbody and she’s a coach. We connected and I switched over to her as my coach.

Well, she’s invested in her coaching business and so she runs her BOD Group like a champ. (A BOD group is an online room where we encourage each other, ask and answer questions, and just be silly.) After four years of using the programs, I started actually using the program to its fullest. I joined her group when we started doing #mbf (muscle burns fat), then continued on with Let’s Get Up (oh, just had the opportunity to talk to Shaun T and his hubby Scott on their IG live, no biggie), and now we’re doing 645 and I just received my 2 week invite to be in Amoila Cesar’s (!) BOD group where we can chat directly with him and ask him questions. In case you somehow missed it, Amoila is the trainer for the 645 program. Yup, direct access!

So yeah, it’s legit. I’m kicking off my baby BOD group, The Fit Inn. The Fit Inn is where we get it in. I’m so clever. Let the congregation say ROCO!

Alright, today’s shake is in my belly (peach mango). I’m absolutely full of fucking energy. There’s no need for coffee. I’m waking before my alarm and I’m mostly staying awake until I’m ready to go to bed. Happy that I’m not having an afternoon crash as it moved itself to around 8:30 after I’ve had dinner and a shower. I suppose that’s fair. I kinda gave my body all of the time to rest signals and then I expect it to not rest for another 90 minutes. I’m a dick.

I just saw Fred Durst’s selfie from Instagram. Remember back when I talked about reading Rollin’ in a smoking jacket with a pipe? Fred Durst is now set up to do it his damn self! Please let this somehow get to him and he actually does it. Me getting credit would just be a bonus.

My mood may be slightly improving considering that I’m not ready to knock anyone’s block off and my period just started. We’ll take that as a win. No weird cravings but still hungry often. I’m probably going to have to have a look at what I’m eating and add more freaking calories. Yes, more. Feed the beast. No poop details today. It happened and that’s enough.

I think that’s gonna be it for me today. Even though I’ll be working out tomorrow and having shakes both tomorrow and Sunday, I probably won’t be checking in here again until Monday. Writing deserves a weekend break and besides, I have my other job and shit. 🙂 Have a great day and an even better weekend! ROCO!

Friday Dance Party – ROCO!

Catching flies…

Ok, so it isn’t Friday night yet, nor did I just get paid. I hardly ever get paid on a Friday though since I’m on that first and fifteenth schedule like the government pays me. They don’t. They just take my money, but they do that to all of us.

It is, however, Friday, thank goodness. It’s been a pretty good week even though it took a little bit to get things kicked off. I created a new daily schedule for myself and I haven’t nailed it yet, but I’m doing a decent job of getting into it. I mean, I wrote every day this week, and for that, let the congregation say ROCO!

I slip in and out of ROCO (rock out with your cock out) Fridays, so if you aren’t familiar, you can search over in the search bar for ROCO to see past assemblies of the congregation. But if you haven’t the time, for that, perhaps you have time for this:

That little dude does it better than I ever could so let the congregation say ROCO! He is freaking hilarious and you just know that he’s spent a heck of a lot of time in Black church.

So, even on this 5 day writing streak, I know that I’m not going to do it on the weekend. Because I know this, let me quickly chat about what’s up. Sunday, I’m hoping to do pretty much nothing. I know that won’t happen because that simply isn’t the life that I lead, but one can hope, right? Actually, it completely could happen if I let it. But again, that isn’t the life I lead. There has never been a tally mark in the ‘able to sit still’ column for me. We have limited time here on this rock and I’m not gonna look back at the end of mine and say, “Boy, I wish I had spent more time sitting on the couch watching TV.” Nope, not gonna happen. Not this chick. Besides, I’m hoping to either go in my sleep or in some spectacular way that doesn’t necessarily involve any pain. I’ve seen the long, drawn out deaths and I’d like to pass on that.

Oooh, that got heavy, huh? Ok, back to the light. We’re heading into the weekend, after all. A weekend wherein I will attend a photoshoot to have some more fun photos for my little gallery. I’m supposed to do my own hair and makeup (in and of itself that is the peak of hilarity), bring clothes (duh), have a playlist (I can at least do that), and think of some poses (although help will be available on-site). Did I ever tell you that I don’t do makeup? I can slap on some foundation and do a bit of mascara but outside of that, I’m kinda lost. There are so many intricacies to drawing on your face and I simply don’t get it. When I did my headshots and they did my makeup for me, I swear she was doing makeup for 30 minutes to basically make me look like I just had on some eye makeup. My skin isn’t THAT bad, lol. So yeah, I don’t get it.

But, I’m here for the game, so I’ve got this eyebrow template to play with (before tomorrow morning, lol) and some lashes to try out. Hopefully, I can make those two things work and, I don’t know, keep the rest of my face hidden or something. What? I’m not really photogenic either. But I’m at the end of a good workout program so the body is pretty banging right now. Booyakasha.

Welp, my writing block time is up and I have to move on to the next facet of my day. I hope you have a great one and a kickass weekend! See ya Monday.

The Lieday Frist

No, none of that is misspelled.  I thought I would try to have a weekly list of my typical silly meaningless-ness.  Stuff that's happened and such.  So here we go:

  • All systems are a go, or at least they're moving forward, for the soon-to-be business.  The remainder of the demo baskets should arrive today (in the rain).
  • Garen thinks I can sing.  (Not a realization from this week, but I'm listening to him now.)
  • Staph is running rampant in Miami-Dade county schools.
  • One Miami-Dade teacher went a little off the deep end this week.
  • One Miami-Dade TV reporter followed the teacher off the deep end.
  • The more I try, the less I understand politics.
  • $40 to fill the tank?!?!  Geez.  Thank goodness it's a Honda and won't need gas for another 2 weeks.
  • I hate shoes.
  • I'm not your whipping bitch.
  • I'm slightly concerned about attempting NaNoWriMo.
  • I need to drink more water.
  • I once again have motivation to work out.  SnowBird Witner Aerial Arts Festival is coming up in January. I'm all in for the Beginning/Intermediate Rope as well as the Beginning Fabric classes.  Game on.
  • There is a flying, screaming monkey at my desk.
  • My heart goes out to everyone affected by the fires in Cali this week.
  • Ludacris is handing out snow globes at the mall on Monday.  I just find that odd.  Movie promotion or not.  He's hot.
  • My mood is directly proportional to the amount of music I listen to in a day.
  • I'm shooting for doing some freelance work be it web design, writing, what have you.  Picked up a small gig already.  Baby steps.
  • I'm tempted to play Karma Chameleon extremely loudly in the office right now.
  • Fights suck but making up is pretty cool.
  • The older I get, the more vain I get.  I used to look at myself in the mirror and wonder how to fix things.  Now I look in the mirror and I think know that I'm a fantastic looking woman and if I happen to put on some makeup, shiiiiiiiiiiit!
  • I miss my friends.

That's all for now kids.  Have a FanFreakingTastic Friday!!  HEP!
