Bwahahahahaha! This cover shot is the absolute best. Yes, this is old, but it will never get old. I love me the heck out of some Ricky Fowler and his Japanese/Native American ass. Plus dirtbikes and stuff. Cool dude. (Now watch someone come along and say how Ricky did some terrible thing because we all know that I don’t pay attention to what’s going on in the media.)
From the amount I talk about it (hardly at all), I don’t suppose that you would know that I own a set of golf clubs. And not just any set of golf clubs, I’ve got a left-handed ladies set which is like finding a needle on a monkey-colored vest on a monkey sitting on a purple unicorn that just ran into a haystack of glitter. In other words, for some reason the golf world doesn’t think I exist. Hellooooooooo! Over heeeeeeeeeeere! LOL! I just looked at a major online golf retailer and a full set is $1300. I definitely did not pay that much. Nowhere near that much. Not even 5 years ago when I got them. GTFOH.
Anyway, me, hubby, and my quite reasonably priced clubs went out to TopGolf on Friday. We’ve been here for just over three years now and haven’t been out to a range. We legit went to the range more in Colorado than in Florida. That’s weird, but it’s true. When we last left our heroine at the driving range in Colorado, every single thing she hit with her driver was going so far left it was ridiculous. Yes, my lefty ass had a crazy slice. I say had because out of nowhere, I hit everything straight. That slice was nowhere to be seen. I amazed myself. Granted, I wasn’t hitting them very far – I think I maxed out at around 120 yd in the air and a total distance of around 170 yds – but they were going straight and that is a giant step. That slice was literally the reason I wouldn’t go out on a course. But watch out now! I think I’m ready to add golf to the huge list of things I want to practice (and then don’t, lol). PS. Angry Birds over there is absolutely hilarious. Best addition ever.
Side note: I never actually looked up how far is average for women to hit their drivers. I just did. 140 – 200 yards. I’m not doing too badly for an amateur.
Over the weekend, I did not eat my best life, let me tell you. I ate ice cream and brownies and my bloated belly and the scale told me all about it today. I also skipped my shake on Sunday, mainly because I just was too lazy to make the effort. That’s pretty shitty of me, but I’m past it already. Missing one day in 14 is not going to be the end of anyone’s world, least of all mine. I did have a moment of craving for it, but that craving (nor my husband’s mentions) wasn’t strong enough to make me get up and hit the Nutribullet.
All else remains on track. No sleeping late. Plenty of energy. Nothing stops the brown express. I went ahead and made that to-do list so I think I’m going to go check off write a blog post and then check off a few more things. Have a great day!
